根据涂料的不同工艺，水性荧光增白剂的加入方法有三种：
1、荧光增白剂在色浆研磨工序(即色浆的制作准备工序)以粉状产品的加入，然后经过充分研磨直至微粒小于20um，并均匀分散到涂料中。
2、将荧光增白剂研磨细之后，经高速分散机加入涂料中。
3、在生产过程中，用30-40度左右的温水和CH₃CH₂OH混合液将荧光增白剂溶解，再加入水性涂料中，再经过充分搅拌分散均匀，添加量为涂料重0.02-0.05%。
水性荧光增白剂的注意事项：
1、在使用W和水性系列环保水性颜料前，需做混溶性实验；
2、不宜暴晒或接触雨水；
3、应保存在干燥的室内；
4、储存时间不宜过长，拆开包装使用后，应立即将其密封，防止氧化；
5、如放置时间过久，请在使用前检测；
6、使用时应缓速搅拌，过快的搅拌会破坏表面包覆物；
7、不慎起火时，切勿用水或二氧化碳，须用干沙或特别干粉灭火；
8、产品均为钢桶密封包装，便于运输及保存。
