Biodiesel has also been shown to increase engine lubricity, which can reduce wear and tear on engines. 随着2018年对甲醇燃料的管控，目前市面上已经有比环保油安全、可以完全替代环保油的新型烧火燃料，他们就是植物油燃料，这里的植物油燃料并不是指的某一种，而是指的很多种，他们不易燃不易爆，明火点不着，对比液化气及甲醇燃料热值高，是目前很好的甲醇燃料及液化气的替代品。 新型无醇燃料主要是替代甲醇燃料及液化气使用的，对于安全方面要比醇基燃料和液化气安全，闪点高、不易燃不易爆，因为不含醇类所以不属危险品。同时，其燃烧性能十分稳定的，热值高耗量低所以用量也比较少，搭配专用单炒灶具每小时的综合耗量为2公斤左右。在封闭的餐馆后厨使用 没有烟没有味，燃烧排放时也不会产生有害物质，无黑烟，无积碳，无刺激性气味，优势比醇基燃料高很多。所以新型无醇燃料油在未来作为厨房燃料使用前景是非常广阔的。
